In Greek Mythology the Fall Equinox marks the beginning of Persephone’s voyage into the underworld, her journey through the darkness that signifies finding an inner light and guidance through moments of intense transformation. The Fall Equinox is when day and night are equal length, and in Pagan tradition this marks a journey inward, into the shadow realm. I observe this holiday by guiding guests through a shadow ritual, a ceremony designed to connect all aspects of oneself and cleanse the mind, body and spirit.

Our experience brings guests together on a gorgeous rooftop overlooking downtown LA and will begin with a spread of teas and elixirs. Following some refreshments and artisan bites, we will lead the group through a brief explanation of the Fall Equinox and its importance. We will create a sacred space and set intentions for your ceremony, while I lead you through a candle carving ritual designed to guide you through the darkness of Fall and Winter. We’ll end our sessions with a guided letter writing ritual, where we will reflect on what we’re looking to release. Then each participant will burn their letters as we conclude the ceremony in group discussion and a short grounding meditation.
